"The Evidence 02-03" is a collection of tracks made by Temisan Adoki from fall of 2002 to spring of 2003. Before Adoki began exploring the territories of House, Techno, Hip-Hop, and proper electronica, he was a huge fan and producer of Experimental electronica and IDM. Adoki admits that his influences at this time ranged from Autechre to Yasunao Tone. All of the tracks on this album showcase this greatly, as the sounds switch from ambient soundscapes to harsh digitally manifested noise. But this isn't a collection of extremely freeform tracks, there is a very innate structure to all of these tracks that are emphasized by computer glitches, 8-bit noises, dissected vocal samples, and alternate styles of production. Considering that these were recorded in 2002-2003, it's amazing how these tracks still hold up today in the post-digital era. This album is not just a great representation of Adoki's work, but also hold as a audible sample of what life was like in the years immediately following 9/11. Where the internet was gaining massive popularity, music making programs were becoming increasingly easier to obtain, and computers were becoming a mainstay in the vessels of society.
